FlyLady – Beginners Baby Steps: Day 25

Holy cow, I’m not sure if it’s the gestational diabetes, or if it’s just that I’ve had a long day, but I feel like I’ve hit a wall of tiredness. I had a wonderfully productive morning and a very easygoing day, but Eleanor took a very long nap this afternoon and was a little difficult going to bed tonight. So after I finally got her to bed, I’ve been having the hardest time getting myself to finish my before bed routine.

I have my gestational diabetes virtual meeting tomorrow. Basically just setting up my glucose monitor to my phone, which will then send all of my readings to the nutritionists at Kaiser. It’s actually pretty amazing and convenient for me. I’ve done the process before when I was pregnant with Eleanor, so it’s a lot less scary this time around. I think the scariest part about having gestational diabetes is that I am considered to be a “high risk” pregnancy now, which means that I need to prepare for everything sooner than later. My midwife told me to pack my hospital bag just in case- so far I’ve got an empty duffel bag with a robe in it. Haha. Maybe I’ll actually work on that tomorrow after my virtual meeting.

Sink still shining! Even when I really didn’t feel like washing the dishes tonight. And didn’t feel like writing this post tonight. Just a little more effort to get a little more done, and now I don’t have to worry about it tomorrow.

February 9, 2021 – Today I’m thankful for that little extra push I’ve been able to give myself to accomplish my daily goals. I’m extra tired, and it’s extra late today, but that’s ok. It will be worth it in the end.
