Update: Day #3 – Kitchen Cabinet Declutter – Part 2
Throughout this process I have found that rearranging the items in my cabinets to where they’ll be most efficient is not as easy as I thought it would be. I think over the next few days, I’ll be doing a bit of trial and error when it comes to the arrangement of my kitchen supplies. Mostly I’m only sure of things that need to be moved or removed, not exactly where they should be moved to. Oh well, I suppose this is just a part of the whole process.
December Daily Gratitude #4:
Today I am grateful for my mom and sister. Though they don’t live very close to me (like my dad), they often come out to visit us to help me watch Eleanor or help me clean my house. It is so much harder taking care of my home and toddler when pregnant, so it’s been a huge blessing to have them visit often.
Day #4 – Kitchen Cabinet Declutter – Part 3:
Let me start off by saying that I KNOW that there’s an excess of paper products in my cabinets. It’s just a season of life we’re in right now. We’re working on it. And please don’t hate on my cardboard boxes. Eventually I’d like to invest in some nice storage bins, but I’m not in a place right now (Hello Maternity Leave!) to be spending money. For now, my shipping boxes and drink boxes will have to do. It’s no rainbow-coordinated aesthetically beautiful the home edit, but at least I know where everything is now.
I think one of the most difficult things to deal with in this kitchen is the fact that all of my large appliances MUST go in this pantry. All the rest of my cabinets are too narrow to fit my stand mixer and pressure cooker. And I absolutely LOVE my mixer and pressure cooker so I need them near me at all times while cooking.. hahaha. Anyone else have an unhealthy attachment to their kitchen appliances?
It’s still coming along. Honestly, because I’m not sure where a lot of items will be located in the next few cabinets, I’m feeling hesitant to go through them. I know that I just need to “eat that frog” or however that saying goes, but I’m having a hard time getting started.
