December Daily Gratitude #30:
I know I’ve said this multiple times this month, but I’m so thankful that baby #2 is healthy and that this pregnancy is going much smoother than last time. The only other hurdle I’ll be facing is a one hour glucose test in about a month. If I don’t have gestational diabetes again, then I’ll be in the clear until baby arrives.
Day #30: Teething Pains 🙁
My poor baby #1 has been going through some teething/growing pains. I had a prenatal appointment today in the afternoon, so she fought through her usual nap time and played with her daddy instead. She was so exhausted, but she made it though her bedtime routine and fell right asleep at about 6:30PM.
So I let myself rest for about 30 minutes since I missed my nap today too, haha, and then I’m going to head back into my room and declutter all of my drawers. I’m pretty impressed that I’ve been able to stick to the timeline that I’ve laid out for myself. If I’m being honest, if I didn’t have this deadline in mind, I wouldn’t have been able to get it done as quickly as I have. I think that really planning all of the steps in advance, and breaking those steps down into mini-steps has made things a lot easier too. I REALLY hope that it will be helpful when it comes to cleaning out the office… Cause that’s my next project and it’s going to be insane.
And once again, I can’t emphasize enough how magical having a simplified peaceful clean bedroom is. So wonderful. Also I love having beddy’s more and more every day. I bought the minky style for Nate, because he really loves being warm and cozy… but I love it too (even as someone who gets too hot always). They are super dang expensive, but I think I have to say that they are totally worth it, especially if you get them on sale + free shipping. I’m totally thinking of even starting a sinking fund for next Black Friday for a back up set for each bed.
Anyways, here’s a fun bonus picture my dad sent to me today of the two of us. Look how much Ellie and I look alike!! Eleanor is really a 50/50 split of me and Nathan though. I can’t wait to see what this next baby looks like.
