December Daily Gratitude #24:
Merry Christmas Eve! Today I’m thankful for my whole family for being awesome. They’ve been so helpful in getting things ready for Christmas. Helping me go shopping for groceries, wrapping presents and watching Ellie. Although this has been the weirdest of holiday seasons, I’ve had so much fun spending time with my family.
Day #24 – Christmas Eve
This morning we started off with Mickey Mouse waffles with maple crystals. It’s almost like a McGriddle… but better! I made a huge batch of them so we could freeze them. Also, you NEED to use the golden malted waffle mix. If you haven’t tried it yet, you should. It’s the waffle mix they use at Disneyland. It is awesome.
Eleanor did not want to nap today, so we struggled a little to keep her up this evening. So after dinner, we decorated some cookies! My dad brought us this cookie decorating kit from Trader Joe’s after one of his layovers, and I almost forgot about it until tonight. Ellie really had fun tasting all of the icing and sprinkles.. and not much of them made it onto the cookies…
It took about 2 minutes for Ellie to fall asleep tonight, she was so exhausted. But after she went to bed, we made a few root beer floats for ourselves. Just a fun way to end the night. I’m so excited to see Ellie open her presents tomorrow.
