December Daily Gratitude #20:
My pregnancy with Eleanor was pretty easy, not too much morning sickness, but I did have gestational diabetes and my amniotic fluids were low. And especially because I’m a carrier for SMA and CF, I was very worried about Ellie all the time.
This pregnancy however, I am so grateful that I passed my first one hour glucose test and that my amniotic fluids are looking great so far. I am so thankful that baby #2 is looking super healthy and growing well. Eleanor is already such a joy in our lives, I can’t wait for #2 to join us. I’m not sure if Ellie really understands what’s going on yet, but I have a feeling she’s really going to love being a big sister.
Day #20: Gift Wrapping and Family Time!
I hate to admit this, but I’m pretty sure that Eleanor is going to be a daddy’s girl. She may say “mom” 90% of the time, but anytime Nate enters the room, her face lights up and the excitement in her voice multiplies. Whenever I’m doing something, for example writing on paper, Ellie INSISTS on taking my pen and paper for herself. But if Nate is doing something, Ellie will just try to copy him or join in. Oh well, hopefully the next kid will choose mommy as their favorite.
For breakfast this morning, I made French Toast Roll-Ups. I’ve been trying to make fun breakfasts every Sunday this month, I think it’s a tradition I’d like to keep up in our family. We have a lot of fun recipes we like to make, but don’t often take the time to sit down and have big meals, especially on weekends or breakfasts.
Almost finished with our gift wrapping! There’s still quite a bit more to wrap, but I think we did a pretty good job so far. Now the problem is keeping Eleanor from opening them this week.
Also, let me say that I’m pretty darn proud of myself for keeping up with these posts. I usually have a difficult time being consistent with these types of things. If I can manage it, I’d like to continue posts similar to this in the future to hold myself accountable. Maybe I’ll do some 90 day challenges in 2021? I was hoping to do some this year, but you know, 2020 happened. LOL
