December Daily Gratitude #19:
I’m pretty sure I’ve already said this, but I am soooo grateful for my mother-in-law. The love and attention she gives Eleanor is the most wonderful thing to see. Ellie hasn’t seen her Nana in months, so she was so confused when I wasn’t the person to wake her up from her nap today. Nana and Ellie were just so happy to see each other, they made each other so happy today. I love seeing my daughter so elated.
Day #19: Christmas Catch-Up!
Yesterday I shared some pictures of our picked up house. Lots of things put away, and yet lots of things still on the floor and the counters.
Today the house looks basically the same, just a lot more presents scattered around. Nate and I tried our best to wrap gifts with Eleanor in the house, but I just wasn’t working out. Ellie kept trying to “help” and open the gifts. So we’re just going to take all of the gifts to my brother-in-laws house next door and hide them there until Christmas.
OMG I broke the sink! You probably can’t tell from the photo (aside from the green tape), but there’s a huge crack on the bottom of the back side of the sink. I was refilling our soap dispenser, when it completely overflowed and slipped.. and cracked our bathroom sink. We’re using the kitchen sink to brush our teeth now. Gosh I’m so embarrassed and bummed. Not how I was hoping this holiday season would go, but how appropriately 2020.
Tomorrow I need to finish up assembling Christmas gifts and hopefully on Monday I’ll be able to deliver some gifts to get them out of our house. I’m so excited to get a bit of extra sleep and help this week, I hope I remember to document my progress.
