The saddest baby! Someone realized that her Nana and Papa were flying home today. She was only sad for a little while, but she was so unhappy when she realized that she couldn’t just go over next door to uncle’s house to see them anymore. But luckily they’re going to come back next month during spring break, and we won’t have to wait months until we see them next.
Finally prepared my skin care into smaller bottles for travel! I usually have my toiletries packed and ready to go as a flight attendant, but because of COVID and maternity leave, none of my bags are packed. When I was pregnant with Ellie, it was so easy to pack my hospital bags because I already had everything ready to go from work. This time, I’m not as prepared. But I also think that this time I will pack lighter.
I think that the most important things that we used in the hospital were the pillows and blankets we brought. It made our hospital stay so much more comfortable. I think that everything else that I packed for “comfort” wasn’t really necessary. But we’ll see. I might try something different this time.
It’s been 31 days since I’ve been cleaning my sink every night and, it’s been tough, but awesome. Can we talk about C.H.A.O.S.? Can’t have anyone over syndrome? Cause that’s usually how I feel, but today, Nate literally brought his friend over last minute and asked if he could stay over. And my initial reaction was “oh no!” But then I took a look around and realized that it was no big deal. During the 15 minutes that it took the boys to get dinner, I was able to wash all the dishes, take out the trash, clean up the kitchen and living room, and set up a impromptu guest bed on the couch! I can’t believe it. I’m so proud of myself.
Well, it’s time to go to sleep. It’s waaaaaay late because we have a guest, and I’m going to be so exhausted tomorrow morning, but that’s ok. I think Ellie and I will go shopping at Target or Walmart for fun. We’ll see how the day plays out.
February 15, 2021 – I am thankful for my shiny sink today! I am glad that I’ve made it 31 days in a row. I hope to keep this up every night, because it’s been pretty darn life changing. I need to start implementing more of the FlyLady system into my life, but for now, I’ll take things one habit at a time.
